Anthony Sanchez Named November Student of the Month

December 17, 2021

West Chicago Community High School in Community High School District 94 has selected Anthony Sanchez of West Chicago as Student of the Month for November 2021. Sanchez was chosen for his leadership skills, for encouraging students to get involved, and for his positive school spirit.

A senior, Sanchez has been on High Honor Roll or Honor Roll every semester of his high school career, earning a cumulative weighted grade point average (GPA) of 5.000. He is a member of OLA’AS (Organization of Latin American and Asian Students), is a member of Student Council, and serves as a Student Ambassador.

Outside of school, Sanchez volunteers with the West Chicago Police Department through their Explorers Program. He became certified in CPR through this program and now volunteers for events in the community. Sanchez also holds a part time job at a restaurant in St. Charles.

When asked about his favorite high school memory, Sanchez references participating in the many spirit weeks at WCCHS.

Sanchez has this advice for future Wildcats, “Have fun here in high school but take it very serious because the next step you will take will determine your future career.”

After graduation, Sanchez plans to attend College of DuPage, then go on to a university to become a police officer, an emergency medical technician, or perhaps pursue a degree in finance.
