WeGo Drama: Marvel Universe Comes to Life on Stage with Squirrel Girl Goes To College
WeGo Drama continues their season by bringing Marvel Comics to life with “Marvel Spotlight: Squirrel Girl Goes To College.” Performances are Sept. 24 and 25, 2021 at West Chicago Community High School, Entrance F, 326 Joliet St., West Chicago. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults available at the door or at wegotheatre.com. Proper masks are required for all audience members.
This Marvel Spotlight play tells the story of Squirrel Girl as she battles the forces of Doctor Doom and M.O.D.O.C. as she makes true friends in college. This show is appropriate for the whole family.
Wego Drama senior Olivia Wesling states, “It is wonderful to play Squirrel Girl. She is such a sweet character. She is ‘unbeatable’ because of her amazing attitude. The story about going to college and making friends is so relatable.”
Vinny Lamantia continues, “The show is sweet and special. I enjoy all the silly laughs.”
Hannah Brown adds, “Bringing a comic book to life is pretty fun. I think the audience will feel good, because that is what we need right now- a hero who brings out the best in people.”
