"Petrifying Poe" - A Radio Play

Wego Drama at West Chicago Community High School continues their 2019-20 season with a Live Radio Play of “Petrifying Poe.” The stories “The Tell Tale Heart” and “The Fall of the House of Usher” come to life on stage. Performance is Oct. 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the school, 326 Joliet St., West Chicago. Tickets are $10 available at the door.

Wego Drama President Ryan Castiglia states, “This evening is a great night for truly understanding the power of stories. Edgar Allen Poe’s stories are still thrilling even after all this time.”

Nathan Bradley adds, “The show is also very neat. We get to create a compelling world of the Radio Drama. The sounds that we create live are so cool. We get to be true foley artists.”  

Noemi Lara concludes, “’Petrifying Poe’ is the play that is perfect for kicking off the Halloween season.”

From Winfield: Justin Blackburn, David Brown, Mikail Herrera, Elizabeth Hurley, Ben Jimenez, Sydney Radke, Cassi Villa, Olivia Wesling, and Jazmin Wilkins. The play is directed by Mark Begovich. Scenic design is by Chris Jensen. Hair and Make-up is by Jamie Elza.

The one-night only benefit is Saturday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Community High School, 326 Joliet St., West Chicago. Tickets are $10 and are available at and the door.
