Camryn Liberio Named April Student of the Month

West Chicago Community High School has selected Camryn Liberio of Carol Stream as Student of the Month for April, 2019. A senior, Liberio was chosen for academic excellence, work ethic, and leadership qualities.

Liberio has been on High Honor Roll every semester of her high school career at WCCHS and has earned a cumulative weighted GPA of 5.457. She is an Illinois State Scholar, a member of National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society, and has earned the President’s Education Award.

Skilled at balancing academic excellence with school involvement during her four years at WCCHS, Liberio has been involved with Art Club, Club Green, and Student Council, and is currently on the Executive Board of WeGo Global.

Outside of school, Liberio has volunteered at a local food pantry, and spent last summer working at a local drug store.

When asked about her favorite high school memory, Liberio recalls Homecoming week activities, and especially the parade.

Liberio has this advice for future Wildcats, “Don’t work for the grade, work to learn the material.”

Liberio plans to attend North Central College as an Environmental Studies major. She hopes eventually to work in the area of sustainability.
