Wildcat Chronicle Earns CSPA Silver Crown Award

The Wildcat Chronicle now ranks among the best in student journalism as it was recognized with the Silver Crown Award for High School Digital News given by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. The Wildcat Chronicle can be read at https://wildcatchronicle.org.

The award winning student journalists are sophomore Isabela Casimiro, senior Ariana Alcantar (Editor in Chief), and sophomore Leslie Najera-Rivas. The Wildcat Chronicle sponsor is teacher Laura Kuehn.

The Columbia Scholastic Press Association announced the awards at the CSPA 95th Annual Convention last month. This year, 1,1181 digital, print newspapers, magazines and yearbooks published during the 2017-2018 academic year were eligible for judging in the 2019 Crown Awards program. Publications were judged on their excellence as shown by their design, photography, concept, coverage and writing.
