Students Recognized at Breakfast of Champions

Ninety-two West Chicago Community High School students were recognized during the Breakfast of Champions on February 1, 2019. Students were acknowledged for their successes and contributions to the school during a special breakfast. This recognition event takes place once each semester.

Students were nominated by teachers or other staff members using the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated significant academic improvement
  • Made a unique or difficult contribution to a class, the school or the community
  • Overcame a significant challenge
  • Dealt maturely with a hardship
  • Improved the positive climate of the classroom or the school
  • Provided support for a peer

At the breakfast, students received a certificate that included why they were nominated by a staff member for this special award.
