Business Education

  • Welcome to the West Chicago Community High School Business Education Department.  Our goal as part of the Career & Technical Education Division is to prepare students to be successful in school, work, and life.  We offer a wide range of courses that will strengthen a student's computer skills, increase business knowledge, expose them to a variety of career options, and prepare them for a successful future regardless of what college or career field they may enter.

With Business being the most popular college major, we hope students will consider taking advantage of the course offerings here at WCCHS to see if Business is something they may be interested in studying in the future.  Please visit the course description link to find out more about our courses.  A recent goal of the department has been to increase the Career and College Readiness of students taking our courses.  In the 2016-2017 school year, students enrolled in Computer Applications 2 earned 105 hours of Dual Credit through the College of DuPage.  That equals $14,175 in tuition savings for our students, while also starting a college transcript.  Also, over 100 Microsoft Office Certificates have been earned in the last two school years from students enrolled in Computer Applications 1, Computer Applications 2, and Technical Support Internship (TSI).  Congratulations to following certificate earners in Computer Applications 1 & 2:
