Meet the New Principal: Dr. Limaris Pueyo
West Chicago Community High School is proud to welcome Dr. Limaris Pueyo as our new principal beginning with the 2025-2026 school year!
Dr. Pueyo brings nearly 20 years of experience in education, most recently serving as the Director of Multilingual Learners & Equity in Community Unit School District 200. Throughout her career, she has been a passionate advocate for student equity, academic excellence, and culturally responsive instruction. Her leadership has supported curriculum innovation, professional development, and inclusive practices that empower both students and staff.
Prior to her district-level role, Dr. Pueyo served as a Dean of Students and instructional leader in Glenbard Township High School District 87. She began her career as a high school Social Studies teacher, where she developed a strong foundation in classroom instruction and student engagement. She has also coordinated EL and Title I programs, always focused on building strong relationships and helping all students succeed.
Dr. Pueyo holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from National Louis University and multiple certifications, including Superintendent, ESL, and Administrative endorsements. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Pueyo is also a proud resident of the greater West Chicago community, where she lives with her family.
