Mary Howard joined Community High School District 94 in 2011, as the English division head after serving as an English teacher in Hinsdale Township High School District 86 for eleven years followed by two years as the English department chair at York High School in Elmhurst District 205.
 
After leading the English department at West Chicago Community High School for a decade, Mrs. Howard now advances the district’s Teaching and Learning efforts including the Blended Learning initiative, College and Career Pathways creation, D94’s Den Program, and the grading for equity work that has been a significant focus since 2021. She also spearheads building professional development with an emphasis on new faculty proteges.
 
Mrs. Howard holds a bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Benedictine University.
