Student Teacher and Clinical Placement Requests
Community High School District 94 is committed to supporting future educators and partnering with institutions of higher education to provide quality placement opportunities. We thank you for your interest in placing a student teacher, intern, or clinical student at West Chicago Community High School.
Eligibility Requirements
Placement requests are taken on a case-by-case basis, dependent on the qualifications of the candidate seeking placement, as well as the availability of a placement in the desired content area and/or grade level. Candidates must be enrolled in a college/university program or course that requires placement in a K-12 setting for observation, student teaching, and/or internship hours. Candidates seeking placements of 20+ hours must pass a criminal background check, comply the with Faith's Law employment history review process, and submit a form certifying a fitness-for-duty exam has been performed by a licensed healthcare provider prior to beginning their placement experience.
Placement Process
STEP 1: Complete the Student Teacher or Clinical Placement Request Form linked below with as much information as possible, including university supervisor information, candidate documents (resume, cover letter, transcripts), and placement request details.

STEP 2: The D94 Placement Coordinator will work with the appropriate Division Head to screen the application. There may be an invitation to interview prior to approval of a placement request.
STEP 3: You will receive a response from the school district within two weeks. If approved, this will initiate onboarding with Human Resources, including a criminal background check, Faith's Law EHR, and fitness-for-duty exam, as well as contact from the Division Head and/or Cooperating Teacher.
