Illinois Pay Transparency Act Information

Effective January 1, 2025

The Illinois Pay Transparency Act (Public Act 103-0539) updates the Equal Pay Act to require employers with 15 or more employees to include pay scale and benefits information in job postings. This page provides information on compensation and benefits for each employee group within our district, ensuring transparency and compliance with the Act.


Licensed Staff (Teachers and Certified Student Support Personnel)

  • Pay Scale: View the 2025-2026 salary schedule at this link.
  • Benefits Overview:
    • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
    • Board-paid 8.5% of member's Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) contribution.
    • Optional 403(b), 457(b) and FSA enrollment.
    • Paid leave: 13 sick days, 2 personal days accrued annually.

Support and Confidential Staff

  • Pay Scale: View starting hourly wages for support staff at this link
    • Confidential (non-union) staff salary based on experience and role; see job posting for specific salary range.
  • Benefits Overview:
    • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
    • Participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
    • Optional 403(b), 457(b) and FSA enrollment.
    • Paid leave: 13 sick days, 2 personal days accrued annually.
      • 10-20 vacation days for 12-month employees only.
    • Opportunities for professional growth.

Administrators

  • Pay Scale: Salary based on experience and role; see job posting for specific salary range.
  • Benefits Overview:
    • Board-paid 8.5% of member's Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) contribution.
    • Optional 403(b), 457(b) and FSA enrollment.
    • Paid leave: 13 sick days, 2 personal days accrued annually.
      • 20 vacation days for 12-month administrators only.

Substitute Teachers

  • Pay Scale:
    • Loyalty Pay Rate: $27-$31/period, plus $20/den.
    • Long-term assignment rate: $247/day (after 15 consecutive days in the same role).
  • Benefits Eligibility:
    • Substitute teachers are not eligible for benefits unless they meet the ACA hours requirement.

Coaches and Sponsors

  • Pay Scale: Stipends vary based on experience and Appendix B group
  • Benefits Eligibility:
    • Coaches and sponsors are not eligible for district-provided benefits unless employed in another benefits-eligible role.

Other Roles (not covered by CBA or other Board action)

  • Pay Scale: View 2024-2025 Miscellaneous Wages 
  • Benefits Eligibility:
    • At-will employees are not eligible for district-provided benefits unless they meet the ACA hours requirement.
