Technology & Engineering Education
Technology & Engineering Education courses are elective courses open to students during all four years of high school. These courses provide a method by which students can discover their potential role in the technological world. Technology & Engineering Education also contributes to the development of personal goals and interests such as: hobbies, leisure activities, and general education curriculum decisions. Level 1 courses provide orientation and fundamental exposure to skill development and/or related technical processes. Level 2 courses provide for greater depth of knowledge and skill development.
Our courses expose students to a variety of career fields including Architecture, Construction Design and Management, Photography, and Graphic Design. We also offer Dual Credit through the College of DuPage for students who enroll in Technical Drawing, Architectural Drawing, Machine Shop and Technical Mechanics. During the 2020-2021 school year students enrolled in our courses earned 45 hours of dual credit saving WCCHS students and their families $6,210 towards future tuition costs.
