Wildcat Preschool Information
West Chicago Community High School offers a Wildcat Preschool program for local children 2.5-5 years of age. Each fall a 3-week program is held Tuesday-Thursday with children being taught by students enrolled in our Child Development 1 courses. During the Spring Semester, a full 12-week Preschool Program is held Tuesdays-Thursdays with children being taught by students enrolled in our Child Development 2 courses. Lessons range from alphabet and number awareness to gross motor activities to beginning reading and writing. Activities include a field trip to the Brookfield Zoo and Preschool Graduation.
Fall Preschool Information
Program weeks:
Tuesday, November 18, 2025 - Thursday, December 11, 2025
Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday of each week
Requirements:
-The child attending needs to be close to being potty trained (diaper/pull ups/underwear is okay)
-Between the ages of 2 ½ and 5 years old
Orientation Date: On Thursday, November 13th, 2025, there will be a meet and greet with the child, caregiver, and Mrs. Bauer. Plan on attending from 11:30 am-12:15 pm. Park at Door 24-25 visitor's parking; and proceed to the front entrance office at Door 24.
There are two sessions this Fall: AM and PM Sessions
AM Session: 8:00 am to 9:30 am
Cost: $60
**For the AM Session: if you cannot arrive until a little after 8:00 am due to dropping off other children to their school first that is okay. Your preschooler can still come to the Wildcat Preschool AM session!
PM Preschool Session: 12:30 pm to 2:55 pm
Cost: $80
**For the PM Session: if you need to pick up your child early due to picking up other children from their school, that is okay. Your preschooler can still come to the Wildcat Preschool PM session!

Spring Preschool Information

Tuesday, February 3, 2026 - Thursday, April 30, 2026
Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday of each week
Requirements:

Orientation Date: On Thursday, January 29th, 2026, there will be a meet and greet with the child, caregiver, and Mrs. Bauer. Plan on attending from 8:45 am-9:30 am. Park at Door 24-25 visitor's parking; and proceed to the front entrance office at Door 24.
PM Preschool Session: 11:35 am to 2:05 pm
Cost: $225
**For the PM Session: if you need to pick up your child early due to picking up other children from their school, that is okay. Your preschooler can still come to the Wildcat Preschool PM session!
