Wildcat Preschool Information

West Chicago Community High School offers a Wildcat Preschool program for local children 2.5-5 years of age. Each fall a 3-week program is held Tuesday-Thursday with children being taught by students enrolled in our Child Development 1 courses. During the Spring Semester, a full 12-week Preschool Program is held Tuesdays-Thursdays with children being taught by students enrolled in our Child Development 2 courses.

Fall Preschool Information

As a parent have you considered enrolling your child into a 3 week preschool program? This is the opportunity where they will meet new friends, learn how to share & take turns; and experience new activities. The focus is learning through play using the five domains of development: physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and language; in order to prepare them for their future kindergarten classes.

 

Location: West Chicago High School 326 Joliet St West Chicago, IL 60185 Room 1522

Program weeks: Tuesday, November 17, 2026 - Thursday, December 10, 2026

Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday of each week

Requirements: 

  • The child attending needs to be close to being potty trained (diaper/pull ups/underwear is okay)
  • Between the ages of 2 ½ and 5 years old

Orientation Date: On Tuesday, November 10th, 2026, there will be a meet and greet with the child, caregiver, and Mrs. Bauer. Plan on attending from 11:30 am-12:15 pm. Park at Door 1A Visitor's 

Entrance & parking; and proceed to the Visitor’s Entrance at 1A. You will need to be checked in by security. Child Development High School Students will walk to entrance 1A and get your child from you each day at the double doors at Entrance 1A. 

There are two sessions this Fall: AM and PM Sessions

AM Session:  8:00 am to 10:20 am                        Cost: $80

**For the AM Session: if you cannot arrive until a little after 8:00 am due to dropping off other children to their school first that is okay. Your preschooler can still come to the Wildcat Preschool AM session! 

PM Preschool Session: 12:30 pm  to 2:05 pm       Cost: $60

Spring Preschool Information
 

Location: West Chicago High School room 1522 Wildcat Preschool - 326 Joliet St West Chicago, IL 60185

Program weeks: Tuesday, February 9, 2027-Thursday, May 6th, 2027 

Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday of each week

Requirements: 

  • The child attending needs to be close to being potty trained (diaper/pull ups/underwear is okay)
  • Between the ages of 2 ½ and 5 years old
Orientation Date: Thursday, February 4th, 2027 there will be a meet and greet with the child, caregiver, and Mrs. Bauer. Plan on attending from 9:40-10:15 am. Park at Door Entrance 1 A: visitor's parking; and proceed to the front entrance office at Door 1A. You will get walked down to preschool room 1522 by security.
 

PM Preschool Session: 11:30 am to 2:05 pm     

Cost: $225
