Mark Poulterer graduated from Wheaton college in 1992.  Two weeks later he was on a plane to Zatatecas, Mexico where he spent four years working with under-privileged children and youth.  Returning to Wheaton College he received his graduate degree in 1997.  In January of 1998 he started as a substitute teacher at West Chicago Community High School.  After spending a couple of years subbing and working as a teacher's assistant he began his teaching career in 2000.  He has taught Bilingual Geography, ESL Study Skills, Bilingual Ready, ESL Newcomer, 1 and 2. He most recently completed his Master’s degree in English through National Louis University.
