Mrs. Govertsen

Beth Govertsen graduated from the University of Illinois in 2003 and started teaching Spanish at WeGo that same year. From 2003-2020, Ms. Govertsen taught Spanish levels 1, 2, 3, 4, and Spanish AP Language and Culture. She also received a masters degree in teaching Spanish from the University of Illinois at Chicago. With her love of Latin American culture and deep empathy for the immigrant experience, Ms. Govertsen made the switch to teaching ESL. She currently enjoys teaching students from all over the world how to navigate the language and culture of a new country. She thinks that hers might be the greatest job on the planet!
