Congratulations to the 2020 State Champion LifeSmarts Team!
West Chicago Community High School Business Education students have a rich history competing in LifeSmarts. LifeSmarts is a program of the National Consumers League that provides a competitive environment to test students knowledge in the field of Consumer Education. Students are tested in five main areas: consumer rights and responsibilities, the environment, health and safety, personal finance, and technology. Each March West Chicago Community High School hosts the Illinois State LifeSmarts competition. Winning the state tournament allows teams to compete at the national level. In recent years, West Chicago students have traveled to Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA, Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, San Deigo, CA, and Orlando, FL representing Illinois at the national level. In 2019, the West Chicago LifeSmarts team finished 3rd at the National Competition!
Students and their sponsor, Mr. Don Zabelin, look forward to another successful year representing Illinois in the 2021-2022 school year!
