Welcome to the West Chicago Community High School Business Education Department.  Our goal as part of the Career & Technical Education Division is to prepare students to be successful in school, work, and life.  We offer a wide range of courses that will strengthen a student's computer skills, increase business knowledge, expose them to a variety of career options, and prepare them for a successful future regardless of what college or career field they may enter.   With Business being the most popular college major, we hope students will consider taking advantage of the course offerings here at WCCHS to see if Business is something they may be interested in studying in the future.  Please visit the course description link to find out more about our courses.  A recent goal of the department has been to increase the Career and College Readiness of students taking our courses.  We partner with the College of DuPage to offer dual credit in Computer Applications 2 and Accounting.  Also, over 250 Microsoft Office Certificates have been earned in the last seven school years from students enrolled in Computer Applications 1, Computer Applications 2, and Technical Support Internship (TSI).  Recently, we have expanded our Advanced Placement (AP) courses by offering AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A.    We also have two competitive student organizations, Business Professionals of America (BPA) and LifeSmarts, that allow students to apply their business knowledge, attend state and national conferences, and make lifelong connections to fellow students and staff.   Visit our Alumni Newsletter link to find out what former students think about their experiences with the WCCHS Business Education Department and how it has benefited them.     For updates on all areas of the Career & Technical Education Division, follow @WeGoCTE on Twitter!
