Victor Barrón - Class of 1995 Victor Barrón, West Chicago Community High School Class of 1995, is featured in the April, 2020 edition of College of DuPage's "Engage" publication. Read his inspiring story here: https://www.cod.edu/…/office_of_t…/engage/pdf/engagev3.1.pdf Grant Hosticka - Class of 2014 and Jacob Urban - Class of 2015 Grant Hosticka, who recently finished his first year at College of DuPage, started a financial website in February, 2015 with current West Chicago Senior and Syracuse commit Jacob Urban. Young Money Monsters has had over 10,000 visitors in its first 3 months. Furthermore, the “Our Picks” section of the site, which encompasses Jacob’s and Grant’s highly rated stocks, has outperformed the market since inception. Katelyn Foehner - Class of 2014 Currently a freshman Belmont University in Nashville, Katelyn began her work here at WEGO for the Wildcat Chronicle. Since then, she has continued successfully at becoming an avid sports and news writer for Belmont Vision – Belmont University newspaper, www.belmontvision.com. Katelyn hopes to continue her journalism career once she graduates. Katelyn also runs an impressive blog. Find out more here: http://nashvilleadventuresofkatelyn.blogspot.com. Robert Graal - Class of 2014 Currently a freshman Ohio State University, Rob wrote a sports article that was picked up by publishing blog ESPURS. Rob says that, “The blog itself is not huge but has accumulated over 1 million hits in its lifetime and gets about 70,000 visitors a month.” He is now a contributing writer and hopes to move into Sports Journalism. Erin Powell - Class of 2014 Currently a freshman at Azusa Pacific University, Erin has published a compilation of poems entitled The Never Ending:. Current WEGO senior Giovanni Arellano completed the artwork for the book. In addition to Erin’s first book release, she has begun to work with an organization called My Rescue to assist young girls in Thailand. Her spoken word videos have received excellent responses for her cause. Erin hopes to earn a BA in Communications with an emphasis on Interpersonal Relations, as well as double minor in Journalism and Leadership. Erin says, “This is my first book and I do not think it’ll be my last.”
