About Us
The West Chicago Community High School District 94 was established in 1921, with classes held before this date at the South Side and then at the North Side School. In 1925 voters considered buying property for a new school-one dedicated solely to high school students. A 12-1/2 acre tract of land on Joliet Street was the site chosen, and classes began in the new building in 1926.
Here are some additional photos taken from the phases of construction in 1955-56.
Community High school has undergone many additions and improvements as the high school student body has grown and technology upgrades have been made. Above information provided by the West Chicago Museum.
