Mr. David Exner

This is Mr. Exner's  “Senior Year”, & he will be graduating/retiring after 34 years here at WeGo.

The first three years of his teaching career were in the Peace Corps on Montserrat, British Overseas Territory, an island in the West Indies.  Upon returning to the US, he  taught in Wisconsin and Minnesota. 

Mr. Exner received his B.S. in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin.  He also holds a Master of Arts & a Master of Fine Arts degree, both from Northern Illinois University.

Mr. Exner has enjoyed co-sponsoring the Art Club with Ms. Dulkinys, painting banners, and the school’s Centennial Mural by Entrance A, as well as, building sets for the plays when he first arrived.  It has been an honor to work with the students and staff of WeGo.

Mr. Exner hopes to pursue his own artwork in his retirement with a focus on Social Justice issues, & Climate Change.  When he's not making artwork or teaching people about life through Art, he enjoys running, hiking, camping, tennis, movies and reading.

On his “bucket list” are: learning to juggle and playing the piano.  We wish him nothing but the best!
