Lindsey Evans has been a part of the French program at West Chicago Community High School and coordinator of the long-standing French Exchange Program since 2007. Lindsey spent a year living and teaching English in Chartres, France, as an Assistante de Langue Etrangère immediately after graduating from St. Olaf College with a double major in English and French. After working for several years in travel marketing, Lindsey returned to DePaul University where she completed her Master’s degree in Education and earned her certification to teach English and French. In 2011, Lindsey won a scholarship to study pedagogy, culture and methodology at the Université de Montréal in Quebec with French teachers from around the world. Passionate about the life-changing potential of student travel and committed broadening students’ horizons, Lindsey has led many teenagers through France on both the exchange program sponsored by West Chicago Community High School and on service learning and language immersion programs as a tour Leader for Global Works Travel.
