1. Why did you decide on this type of schedule (Monday synchronous class meetings, 1/3 of students in the building Tuesday-Thursday, Friday synchronous class meetings) rather than more in person classes or more online instruction?
We developed this model to be flexible given this very fluid global pandemic. It allows us to scale up (increase face-to-face time and/or number of students in attendance) or down (move to more remote learning) depending on the changing landscape. Starting with 1/3 of students allows us to balance required procedures for disinfecting and symptom checks, and transitioning to a new format for hybrid learning.
