ALYSSA CAMPAGNONI NAMED CHS

DECEMBER STUDENT OF MONTH

Alyssa Campagnoni has been chosen Student of the Month for December at Community High School District 94. One teacher describes Alyssa as, "someone I hope my daughter grows up to be like. She has a great personality, a positive attitude, a friendly smile, and a willingness to help others in need. It is very easy to see why Alyssa was selected Homecoming Queen this year. It is apparent that she has earned the respect of the faculty and her peers during these past four years."

Alyssa is a member of the National Honor Society and has been on the High Honor Roll all four years. She was a member of the 1st place Math Club calculator team her freshman year. She was also chosen to the DVC Academic All-Conference team representing the soccer program.

Alyssa has been involved in many clubs during her four years. She has participated in the Math Club, Pep Club, International Club, and the Future Business Leaders of America. She is currently a senior representative in Student Council and a student ambassador. Alyssa has served as a Peer Helper for three years and has been a member of the Wellness Committee for two years.

Alyssa has also participated in the Wildcat athletic programs. She played basketball for two years and soccer for four years. This past year Alyssa served as a manager for the JV Boys Soccer team.

Alyssa has managed to contribute to the community as well. She has served as a teen director of Snowflurry for three years. She has served on a peer jury, worked in the Character Counts program, and raked leaves for the elderly with the West Chicago Youth Commission.

Alyssa plans to attend the Western Illinois Honors College and study bi-lingual education. She then aspires to study abroad. Alyssa is the daughter of Arthur and Linda Campagnoni of Winfield.
