CARRIE GALLIMORE NAMED CHS

STUDENT OF THE MONTH FOR MARCH

Senior Carrie Gallimore has been named Community High School's Student of the Month for March. Carrie has been involved in Student Council for the last two years and has participated in Junior State of America. She has served as a school ambassador this past year and has volunteered numerous hours as a teachers’ aide for Miss Daneels and Mr. Healy’s Government classes.

Carrie has also been involved in athletics at Community High School. She played soccer for three years, and is participating in track her senior year. Academically, Carrie has been a member of the High Honor Roll all four years. She has been chosen as a member of the National Honor Society and the French National Honor Society, in addition to being designated an Illinois State Scholar.

Carrie has also performed community service as a volunteer at the Humanitarian Service Project. She has also participated in a Cancer Walk and the Adopt-A-Family Program.

Carrie plans to attend Loyola University in Chicago and pursue a degree in Biology or possibly a double major in Business also. She hopes to work as a pediatrician or pediatric nurse.

Carrie is the daughter of Sandy and Aaron Gallimore of West Chicago. She will be honored at the April 15, 2003 Board of Education meeting, and her photo will be featured in the Student of the Month display.
