The Community High School Concert Choir will present a concert to honor American armed services veterans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 in the Weyrauch Auditorium. They will be directed by Choir Director Brandon Fantozzi.

Some of the selections they will perform include the Battle Hymn of the Republic, the Armed Forces Salute and Americana Suite: a collection of old American folk songs such as Sweet Betsy from Pike, Skip to my Lou and Shenendoah.

There is no charge for the concert, and the public is encouraged to attend. Community High School is located at 326 Joliet Street in West Chicago.

"This is our way of saying "thank you" to the men and women who have served in the armed forces," said Fantozzi. "They have all made an important contribution to our country. Our local VFW and Auxiliary and American Legion have also been very generous in supporting Community High School and its students."

The choir will also visit the VFW Post in West Chicago at 11:15 a.m. on November 11 to sing during the Veterans Day service for members of the VFW Post 6791 and American Legion Post 300.
