Stuart Sankovitch Named

Student-of-the Month f= or May 2009

The faculty and administration of Community High Scho= ol would like to congratulate Stuart Sankovitch for being chosen Student of the Month for May.

One of his teachers stated that Stuart is “truly committed to excellence and has worked extremely hard to maintain this high level of achievement. Stuart helped lead the West Chicago LifeSmarts team to the Illinois State Championship on March 3. In April, St= uart had the distinct honor of winning two state championships. On April 21, Stuart and three team members defeated 19 opponents to win the Illinois Personal Finance Challenge. On April 24, Stuart's team in the Stock Market Game made the most money of any team over both semesters throughout Illinois. There were literally several thousand teams in this competition. This great Stock Market Game accomplishment has earned him a trip to the New York Stock Exchange in June where he will receive special recognition with = his team.”

Another teacher states that “Stuart is a very dedicated and conscientious student. Both in the classroom and in extra-curri= cular activities he is a natural leader and works well in teams. Stuart was a member of the State championship Economics Challenge team, the first team to ever compete in the challenge from our school. His economic knowledge, especially his expertise in the investment component of economics, greatly helped the team dominate the competition and qualify for the regional competition in Texas.”

Stuart has played lacrosse for four years. He plans to continue to play throughout his college years. Stuart is a member of the Fu= ture Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and holds two part-time jobs outside of school.

After graduation, Stuart plans to attend the University of Iowa majoring in Economics or Fina= nce and eventually pursue an MBA. Military service may also be in his future.

The administration, faculty, and staff at Community High Scho= ol congratulate Stuart on all of his accomplishments and wish him the best of = luck in his future endeavors.
