Rachel Molinaro Named = April 2009

Student-of-the Month <= o:p>

&nbs= p; The faculty and administration of Community High School would l= ike to congratulate Rachel Molinaro for being chosen Student-of-the-Month for Apri= l.

&nbs= p; One of her teachers describes Rachel as a “real leader in her class” and continues to state that “Rachel’s commitment and dedication= is exemplary and she is not afraid of hard work to accomplish her individual a= nd class goals.” Rachel is= a role model and inspires many of the other students in her class.

&nbs= p; Rachel is a talented and dedicated dancer and choreographer. She has been a member of Dance Production for four years, serving as co-president this year. Rachel studies dance outside of sc= hool and is currently preparing for the role of the Lilac Fairy in the Sleeping Beauty Ballet. She would like= to join a major dance company after graduating from college.

&nbs= p; Rachel is a ballet and Jazz instructor for the Winfield Park District and also tea= ches ballet to special needs children through the Western DuPage Special Recreat= ion Association (WDSRA). Through = her church, she has participated in two mission trips to Mississippi helping to rebuild homes d= amaged by Hurricane Katrina.

&nbs= p; Academically, Rachel is a member of the National Honor Society and the French National Ho= nor Society. She is a Voice of Democracy Scholarship winner and has received the Joint Civic Committee of Italian American’s Academic Achievement Award.

&nbs= p; Rachel plans to attend Northwest= ern University to double major in Political Science and Dance. She volunteered with the re-election campaign for Illinois State Representative Randy Ramey and hopes to become involved in local and state governments after graduation.

&nbs= p; The administration, faculty, and staff at Community High Scho= ol congratulate Rachel on all of her accomplishments and wish her the best of = luck in her future endeavors.
