Win ComEd 100 Awards

Ben Keller, a Community High School graduate from West Chicago, and his science teacher, Karan Oliver-Tucci, were recently honored with ComEd 100 Awards. Community High School was also recognized. The award recognizes outstanding students and gives special thanks to the educators and schools who have made an impact on these students.

Keller was one of 34 students in Illinois selected for the award. He won the award for a dissection project that he worked on for Human Anatomy and Physiology class when he was a senior at CHS. Oliver-Tucci was one of 32 Illinois teachers honored for "a proven track record of leading by example." Community High School was one of 25 Illinois high schools honored.

Frank Clark, the president of ComEd, stated, "This year's ComEd 100 educators embody the dedication and hard work that keep our schools churning out fresh talent year after year." Oliver-Tucci said that she and Ben plan on continuing to improve his project when he comes home from college for the summer.
