The Community High School Education Foundation has extended the deadline for its $2,500 Healthcare Scholarship to May 15, 2004. The scholarship is available to graduating Community High School seniors who reside within the West Chicago 60185 zip code area and intend to enter post-high school education to pursue any healthcare career.

The scholarship may be used to defray the cost of tuition, room and board, and books. While the scholarship is funded by Dr. David Freeland of West Chicago Chiropractic, the award can be used to pursue any healthcare field; it is not limited to chiropractic.

Applicants will be judged on grades, participation in school and/or community activities, financial need and a short essay.
