‘ALL NIGHT LONG’ COMMI= TTEE PRESENTS

A ST. PATRICKS DAY BASH & AUCT= IONS

The ‘All Night = Long Committee’ of Community High School District= #94 in West Chicago will bring the commu= nity together to support a safe After Prom experience for junior and senior high school students and their dates.

Saturday, March 15th is the date for the St. Patrick’s Day Bash & Silent and Live Auct= ions that will take place at Klein Creek Golf Club, 1 N 333 Pleasant Hill Road in Winfi= eld beginning at 7 PM. The ticket= price of $20 per person includes hors d’oeuvres and dessert. Live music will be provided by This End Up. A cash bar is available.

Community police depa= rtments call prom month the “deadliest month of the year.” The Committee invites all members = of the community to come together to help keep our high school students safe on pr= om night. The After Prom event w= as started by a group of parents in 1994, and thanks to parental and community support, has continued every year since.&n= bsp; By giving high school students an alternative to home parties, hotel rooms and camping trips we can offer them the opportunity to “hang= 221; together in a safe, substance-free, adult chaperoned environment to continue the prom night fun and create lasting memories.

This year students wi= ll be bussed after prom to Lifetime Fitness in Bloomingdale. Some activities incl= ude the climbing wall, swimming pool, hot tub, slide, money machine, karaoke, g= iant floor twister game, guitar hero, bungee run, moon bounce, bungee bull, cari= cature artists as well as a disc jockey and food including breakfast. Busses will depart from Community High School at 11:30 pm and return= to the high school at 5 am. The proceeds of the St. Patrick’s Day Bash & Auctions, coupled with d= onations from individuals and corporations, will lower the cost of the After Prom ti= cket and allow more students to attend. The Committee’s fundraising goal is to subsidize the ticket co= st for all, and in addition, offer more substantial scholarships to students in financial need.

Donations for the sil= ent and live auctions, as well as cash donations, for the After Prom event are still being accepted. Tickets for the Bas= h & Auctions may be purchased in West Chicago at Pal Joeys, Sandpiper Restaurant and the State Bank of Illinoi= s or by calling 630/202-9654. T= ickets can be purchased at the door for $25.

This year’s par= ty is bound to be, at the very least, equal to last years’ resounding succe= ss! Please plan to join parents, teach= ers, community members, business owners, alumni and community leaders on St. Patrick’s Day as they come together for the safety and benefit of our children.
