Career Exploration and Research Tools:
Discover-
This Internet tool will be used by your Counselors in conjunction
with the Sophomre English class unit on "knowing Yourself".
This site has many exploration tools, including interest and values
surveys, and skills assesment. The site helps students make the
connection between and individual's interests, skills and values
and their eventual success and satisfaction on the job. This is
NOT limited to Sophomores, however, you can keep coming back to
the site for college search, and other valuable planning tools.
There is a wealth of information here! To use the Discover site,
you need to use the "Token"
(combination of #s and letters) on your student ID card as your
"User ID" when you get to the Discover site. Then use
your student # at WCCHS as your "password" and you are
in. You will need to enter new identification info and a new password
your first time at the site, but once you are in you will discover
a lot of useful tools for planning your future.
