Jose L. - Moderate Democrat
I was born in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico on December 16 of 1982.
I went to school for 12 years. I have 2 certificates in Mexico and
almost one in the United States. I moved to West Chicago about 4 years
ago. My life outside of school is spent, writing poems in Spanish I wrote a
book. My favorite hobby is drawing or painting faces. When I get out of
school, I will go to college to study and prepare to be a great doctor.
I'm Moderate Democrat because I think the most important issue for me is to
protect the people to make sure that everyone has an equal chance to succeed.
I believe that the government should make things "equal in society".
I
believe in pro-privacy because it’s a free country. The First
Amendment is free speech so it’s important because many people to
express themselves. There are too many issues. The most important for me
is the abortion because women have the right to decide to keep the baby
or not. Also the control of guns because many people kill innocent people.

Hello, I’m Said. I was born in Mexico and I just came here in the summer of 2001.
I spen 15 years of my life in Mexico. I like government a lot, I always watch the news to see
what’s going on in my community. Usually in my free time I sit in front of a computer
because that’s what I like to do. I’m planing to go to college at Northern Illinois
in Dekalb because I want to study computer science and have a good job in the future.
I’m a
moderate Republican. I believe that a small government can solve the problems better. I believe
that every citizen in the United States should pay the same rate of taxes because if someone
earns more than other person, it is because that person worked harder. I think that the government
doesn’t have to mess with business.
The biggest issue to talk about it is Amnesty. I’d like to
support that kind of law because I’m Latino and I think that United States
needs the cheap labor of immigrants. I think that the law of the Three Strikes
should be in all the United States because we should make the criminals pay.
Cipriano R. - Moderate Democrat
Hello! Everyone, my name is Cipriano known as EL GANSO. I was born in
Morelia Mexico on September 14, 1984. I only have one brother, so my family is formed
of my mom, dad, my brother and myself, and that's pretty much my family. I have lived most
of my life in Mexico, but I just arrived in the United States three years ago. I'm planning
to live the rest of my life here. I'm about to graduate from West Chicago High School and I
will be going to COD college. I really like Business and Government. I currently work at KFC,
I'm a shift supervisor now and hopefully I will be training to became an assistant manager soon.
I have decided that I'm a moderate democrat, I agree with some points of the right sides but I'm
more strongly from the left side. I decided to be on this side because I believe in the higher
taxes so everyone can be equal and help the people that need help from the government. I also
believe in that everybody should have the same opportunities.
One of the issues more important to
me is the right to have an abortion. I believe that all women have the right to decide what to
do with their bodies, for example if they got raped, they should be able to have an abortion,
since they did not want that to happen.

HI! Everyone, my name is Edith. I was born in Mexico City on September 25,1984.
I only have one brother, his name is Guillermo, so my family is small. I arrived in the USA
two years ago. When I finish the high school, I would like to attend to college and work to
support myself. I like to play basketball, listen to music, watch TV, go to the movies and
dance. A have a lot of friends and I like to spend my free time with them.
I have decided that
I’m a moderate republican. I believe in small government and the security of the country
and limited central power. We need to give police power to keep everyone safe. People have the
right to defend themselves. Business should be free from government control.
There are too many issues that I would like to talk about. The
most important issue for me is the three strikes law because we need to keep our country safe
and free from violence. Also gun control, I think we need to restrict guns. Only police and army
can use them. In this way, no one else can use them and it will stop murders and violence.
