You are to use your own paper to respond to each step in this assignment.

STEP ONE:

To begin, let's take a look at the qualifications to be president. Use the link to the United States Constitution at Congresslink.org. Read Article II, Section I, Clause 5 and list the three qualifications to become president.

STEP TWO

Now that you know the offical qualifications to become president, what are other qualities that you think are important?  Read the various responsibilities of the president listed in Article II, Section 2 of the United States Constitution located on Congresslink.org. List what jobs are trusted to the president.
Then, make a list of other qualifications you think a candidate should have to become president.

STEP THREE

How do you become president? Draw a flow chart/diagram of the process using the link for Govspot.com.

STEP FOUR

Go to the website listed below and take the surveys provided. Record your answers.

According to 2012 survey, which candidates appear to most reflect your own political philosophy? Read the brief synopsis of your top three matches using the link provided. Briefly summarize if you believe you really match the candidates after reading the information provided and explain your answer.

STEP FIVE

Take President Obama and Governor Romney, and compare them with the third party candidate you were most compatible with according to Step Four using the points listed below. Use any of the links below or others to access the information you need.
  1. What experiences can they bring to the presidency to fulfill the official roles of a president (military, previous occupation, etc.)?
  2. What are their stands on three issues (cannot pick the same issues as step four) important to you?
  3. What do you perceive are their potential areas of weakness as a president?
  4. Any other information that sways you about the candidates?
