Alumni Business Directory

Need a reliable contractor? How about a real estate agent? 

Need to purchase insurance? What about furniture?

The CHS Alumni Association has created an Alumni Business Directory. Only CHS alumni are eligible to advertise it in, and a variety of businesses are represented. When you need a product or service, check to see if a "home grown" WCCHS graduate can provide the service for you!

Centennial Quilt Project Announced

The Family and Consumer Science department at Community High School is working on a commemorative quilt project, but they need our help to do it! The quilt is divided into sections by decades, and will hold pictures and stories from 100 years of history at the high school.

Please submit photos or memories to be included in this project. To do so, click below to answer questions about your experiences at the high school, then email responses with any photos you may have. They are especially interested in multi-generations of families who have attended.

Alumni Scholarships Announced

Thanks to all who attended our second annual Alumni Homecoming Event, Dancin' Through the Decades. The purpose of the event was an opportunity for alumni from all classes to get together and celebrate 100 years of Community High School in West Chicago. A secondary purpose was to create a scholarship fund for graduating CHS seniors. We raised enough money to fund one $1,500 scholarship!

Congratulations to Elizabeth Buenrostro, Class of 2008, the winner of this year's $1,500 scholarship!

Receiving the second Alumni Scholarship, in the sum of $1,500.00, was Class of 2006 graduate Eric Lindner.

Also, congratulations to Class of 2005 graduates Vanessa Vergara and David Frommert. They were the recipients of the first ever WCCHS Alumni Scholarships! 

Class Officers/Reunion Contacts Needed

If you were a former class officer, and/or a class reunion planner, we want you! Well, we want to help you, that is! This web site has a registration section where we are asking WCCHS alumni to register with us. One of our goals is to help class reunion planners to find all of their classmates, and our registration page will help us do that. Due to privacy issues, we will not be posting classmates addresses and phone numbers on the web site, but e-mail links will be available. However, if you are the reunion planner for your class, we will be able to provide detailed contact information to you. We would also like for you to provide us with details on your next reunion, so we can pass it on.

WCCHS Ornaments for Sale

As our first "official" fundraiser, the Alumni Council is selling ornaments for $5.00 each. These ornaments are a copy of the front facade of the old main entrance of West Chicago Community High School on Joliet Street. They are three dimensional, and are 24 carat gold plated, in a red gift box with a clear cover. These ornaments make great stocking stuffers, or a small remembrance for siblings or old friends.

Leave Your Mark on WeGo!

Wildcat Booster Club is selling tiles that are being placed on the wall outside the west entrance to Bishop Gym. The tiles come in various sizes and prices, and you may personalize them as you wish, within space requirements. Click here for an order form.

Contributions

Donations are most welcome. The Alumni Council is part of the Education Foundation which is a 501 C(3) non-profit organization. Contributions are tax deductible. Checks may be made payable to Community High School District 94 Education Foundation, 326 Joliet Street, West Chicago, IL  60185.

You may also volunteer your time. If you are interested in becoming a speaker/mentor for a current WCCHS class related to your profession, please email Becky Brauer Koltz.

Current Alumni Council Members

The Alumni Association of Community High School District 94 was founded in the Spring of 2003 as an arm of the Community High School Education Foundation. The Council meets on the third Monday of every month at 7:00 pm at Community High School, 326 Joliet Street, Entrance H, West Chicago. Please email us first to make sure we are meeting that month before coming to our meeting. We are a very informal group, and always welcome any alumni. Come join us!

Goals

• To provide an Alumni Scholarship Program for graduating WCCHS seniors.

• To provide an alumni clothing line.

• To help class reunion planners find alumni and share ideas.

• To plan Homecoming events for alumni.

• To coordinate a speakers bureau of alumni to speak in appropriate WCCHS classrooms about their career.

• To offer alumni the opportunity to donate time and financial resources to support current and new WCCHS programs.
