Community High School Homecoming Week School Activities

 =

Comm= unity High School will be celebrating Homecoming with a full schedule of events from Saturday, Oct= ober 4 through Saturday, October 11.  The theme this year is “Where in the World”… will = the Olympics be held?  Each class = has chosen one of the four cities in the running for the 2016 Olympics as the f= ocus for all activities and contests throughout the week:

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;            &= nbsp;            Sophomores:      Tokyo

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;            &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;         Juniors:      Madrid

        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;            &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;        Seniors:      Rio De Janeiro

 

On Saturday, October 4th, the studen= ts will be painting windows at area businesses and decorating the Commons area= at the school.

 

On Monday, the students are invited to dress in Dodgeball uniforms. The day ends with a Dodgeball Tournament from 6 PM R= 11; 9 PM.

 

The dress for Tuesday will represent the cities around the world and morning games will be held in the Commons beginning at 7:15 AM.

 

Homecoming shirts or powder puff shirts will be worn o= n Wednesday with the powder puff game being played from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM.

 

On Thursday, the students will be encouraged to= wear school colors (navy blue and white) and morning games will again be held in= the Commons.

 

Students will wear their Squad Shirts on Friday= and will enjoy a Food Fest from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM.  The Homecoming parade kicks off fr= om the high school at 1:30 PM and will proceed south on Joliet Street to Hazel, ea= st on Hazel to Bishop, south on Bishop to Forest, west on Forest to Joliet, and then north on Joliet back to the school.&n= bsp; The route takes the parade past the West<= /st1:PlaceName> Chicago Middle School and Gary Elementary School.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'>  Following the parade, from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM, the Alumni/WeGones Reception will take place in the Librar= y.

 

On Friday night, Com= munity High School hosts Naperville Central<= /st1:PlaceName> High School on the football field with the Sophomore game beginning at 5 PM and Varsity kicking off at approx= imately 7:30 PM. The Homecoming Co= urt, this year’s King and Queen, and the floats will be introduced before the s= tart of the Varsity game.

 

The Homecoming Dance for students will be held in the = Bishop Gym on Saturday, October 11, from 7 PM – 10 P= M.  Tickets are $10 ($12 at the door).=
