Certified Staff Evaluation Plan
The goal of every Community High School employee is to improve student learning. To that end, the District has developed and embraced a philosophy of growth and evaluation through the use of a Framework based on work done by Charlotte Danielson that is clustered into four domains of Planning and Preparation, Classroom Environment, Instruction, and Professional Responsibilities. These include Illinois statutory mandated language on attendance, instructional planning, classroom management, instruction methodology, and competency in the subject matter taught.
Each certified employee is a member of a collegial team that strives to study student learning and explore new instructional techniques in a supportive environment. All recognize that certified employees are at many levels of professional proficiency. Through collaboration, trust and collegial exchanges on significant issues related to student learning, certified employees and evaluators can work together to promote professional growth.
