Technology Education courses are elective courses open to students during all four years of high school. Technology Education courses provide a method by which students can discover their potential role in the technological world. Technology Education also contributes to the development of personal goals and interests such as: hobbies, leisure activities, and general education curriculum decisions. Level 1 courses provide orientation and fundamental exposure to skill development and/or related technical processes. Level 2 courses provide for greater depth of knowledge and skill development.
Our courses expose students to a variety of career fields including Architecture, Construction Design and Management, Photography, and Graphic Design. We also offer Dual Credit through the College of Dupage for students who enroll in Photography 1 & 2, Technical Drawing, and Architectural Drawing. During the 2015-2016 school year students enrolled in our courses earned 60 hours of dual credit saving WCCHS students and their families $8,100 towards future tuition costs.
